I am interested in working with individuals and couples that are seeking guidance and searching for stronger connections with themselves and others. I have experience working with adults of all ages and backgrounds who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. When working with couples, I will provide an open and sex- positive safe space for us to explore patterns within the relationship and establish mutual goals towards a more fulfilling and genuine partnership.  I also have experience working with families, children, adolescents and parent-child dyads. When working with children and families I incorporate therapeutic play practices through a lens of attachment theory that respects and values cultural differences and perspectives.

Elizabeth Maranto, LMHC

I work with individuals who have experienced or are experiencing any traumas, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and grief. In particular, I enjoy working with young adults and adolescents who want to work through trauma, anxiety, and/or are questioning their sexuality. I have experience in working with youth, adolescents, and adults of all ages; specifically targeting LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety, depression, grief, complex trauma, and various life transitions. Therapy will toss a range of thoughts and emotions at you. There will most likely be moments of laughter, tears, realizations and sometimes moments of reflection to let the thoughts sink in. These moments are incredibly beneficial and can help aid you in emotional regulation skills, new coping mechanisms, and an always-growing, stronger sense of self during and after sessions.

With a goal directed approach, I tailor treatment to the needs of the individual by incorporating a variety of therapeutic methodologies. The interventions that I use are informed by evidence-based practices that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, John Gottman’s method to couples therapy and Motivational Interviewing. In my trauma work I also apply Bessel van der Kolk’s groundbreaking research on the effective pathways to healing. My work has also been highly inspired by Brené Brown’s influential research on vulnerability, courage, shame and empathy. Together we will uncover your strength and resilience and work to overcome barriers and create different patterns that will help you achieve your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is therapy right for me?

Therapy can be incredibly beneficial for anybody! There are many reasons why people choose to have therapy. Therapy is not a one size fits all process and varies person by person depending on their goals. Some may come seeking support for anxiety, depression and a range of other symptoms while others it is in a response to life changing events both expected and unexpected. Many seek services as they pursue personal exploration and growth.

How do I schedule my first appointment?

You can easily schedule your first therapy appointment by using our online scheduling portal on our website or by filling out the contact form. Our team will match you with a virtual therapist near you who specializes in your area of concern.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Choice insurance PPO plans. We are considered out of network with other insurance providers, however it is still possible to use these benefits. At the time of service, you pay the fee directly and we will provide you with a monthly "Superbill" to submit your insurance provider for reimbursement. The reimbursement is paid directly to you.

How does teletherapy work?

Teletherapy is essentially the same thing as in-person therapy but from the comfort of your own home! Through video and/or phone sessions we provide all of the same services and specialties that we would in an office. Teletherapy is also covered by insurance as it would be in an office as well!
