About
“I believe in people’s innate ability to heal and grow–my goal is to facilitate this process, not to impose it, but to support you in living the life you want.”
Why I became a therapist
I’m June (he/they), a Licensed Social Worker! Becoming a therapist wasn’t a single decision, but a culmination of experiences that led me to this point. Through my experiences as an organizer, I’ve witnessed the power of community and professional support in helping people cultivate healthy relationships. My passion stems from the embodied knowledge of how challenging it can be to develop and sustain healthy relationships without the necessary skills. I believe in people’s innate ability to heal and grow–my goal is to facilitate this process, not to impose it, but to support you in living the life you want.
Who I work with
I specialize in providing therapy to adolescents and young adults from a wide range of backgrounds, with a particular focus on supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients. My practice includes working with individuals facing a variety of challenges, such as ADHD, autism, anger management, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, boundary issues, and relationship difficulties. I am especially passionate about helping individuals who have experienced trauma, and I seek to approach each client with cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a genuine desire to understand and support their unique experiences.
“My approach to therapy is founded on a holistic, client-centered, and strengths-based perspective that acknowledges the interconnectedness of an individual's social, psychological, and physical needs.”
Working With Me
My approach to therapy is founded on a holistic, client-centered, and strengths-based perspective that acknowledges the interconnectedness of an individual's social, psychological, and physical needs. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can learn what they need and unlearn what's no longer working for them. Through an exploration of cognitive, somatic, and behavioral processes, we will work together to uncover the root causes of challenges and develop strategies for growth and new, more fulfilling ways of living.
