About

Ana Benacerraf

“I believe each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to help you explore your experiences and challenges in a way that feels empowering to you.”

Why I became a therapist

I am becoming a therapist because I have always felt deeply connected to supporting others and creating a space where people can show up exactly as they are. As a Hispanic therapist, I have seen firsthand how much stigma can surround mental health in our communities, and that has shaped why this work matters so much to me. Many of us move through life carrying thoughts, emotions, and experiences we do not always feel safe or free to share. I wanted to offer individuals a place where they feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment, a space to express themselves, explore their emotions, and heal in whatever way feels most authentic and meaningful to them. I also believe that we often do not fully realize our capabilities and strengths until we are faced with life’s challenges ourselves. Some of our most difficult moments can also become opportunities for growth, self-discovery and resilience. My role is to walk alongside my clients through those experiences with curiosity, compassion and support.

Who I work with

I work with adolescents, adults of all ages and couples who are seeking support, growth, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. I have experience helping clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, major life transitions, and relationship dynamics. Whether someone is facing a difficult situation, adjusting to change, or simply looking for a space to better understand themselves, I strive to provide an environment that allows them to do so. As a LatinX therapist, I am especially passionate about working with members of the LatinX community. I understand the unique cultural values, expectations, and challenges that can shape our experiences, and I am committed to helping reduce the taboo that often surrounds mental health within our communities.

“Together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you, building a space where growth can happen naturally and honestly.”
