About
“I believe giving yourself permission to explore any thought, feeling, or emotion, no matter how uncomfortable, can bring clarity and self acceptance.”

Why I became a therapist
After more than a decade in business, I realized how important it is to follow your passion, and I decided to join a helping profession. Therapy drew me in because it blends science and art in such a unique and beautiful way. I enjoy drawing on evidence based practices while honoring the individual humanity of each person I work with, so they can grow in a way that fits them. Through my own therapy, I’ve seen first-hand the benefits of creating a long-lasting and meaningful relationship with a therapist. Being invited to face life's difficulties alongside someone is one of the greatest privileges I have ever experienced. Watching clients gain insight into themselves and use it to make real change is an even greater one.

Who I work with
I work with adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families as they move through life's toughest transitions. Whether it is a career change, a physical move, or a shift in your relationships or family, having support during these times can make the difficulties that naturally come with them far more manageable. When these changes lead to anxiety, depression, or other concerns, I bring a trauma-informed approach to help you work through them. I also enjoy working with men of all ages who want to explore themselves, their identity, or what masculinity means to them. I offer a culturally sensitive space for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals, couples, and families who are looking for an affirming, nonjudgmental setting. I hope my clients recognize my own self acceptance in the room and feel empowered to discover theirs.

Working With Me
I strive to create a space where you can feel completely comfortable being exactly who you are. I believe giving yourself permission to explore any thought, feeling, or emotion, no matter how uncomfortable, can bring clarity and self acceptance. When that happens, I have found that clients discover the power to create the life they want to live. I blend evidence based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with reflective, person centered, and insight driven psychodynamic work. Ultimately, no matter the challenge you may be facing, I will hold space for the hard things while believing there’s nothing wrong with therapy being both effective and fun!
